Principal's Address

Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we approach the colder months, it's important to be vigilant about colds and illnesses. Here are some key points to keep in mind:
Colds and Illness Prevention: Encourage your children to wash their hands regularly, cover their mouths when coughing or sneezing, and avoid sharing personal items. Symptoms: If your child shows symptoms of a cold or flu, such as a runny nose, sore throat, or fever, please keep them at home to rest and recover.
Medical Advice: Consult your healthcare provider if symptoms persist or worsen.
Communicating with School Absences: Notify the school as soon as possible if your child will be absent due to illness. This helps us keep track of attendance and provide support where needed. Concerns: If you have any concerns about your child's health or well-being, please reach out to their teacher or the school administration. We are here to help and ensure your child receives the necessary care and attention.
Changing Personal Information Updates: If there are any changes to your contact information, address, or emergency contacts for your child, please inform the school promptly. Accurate information is crucial for effective communication and ensuring the safety of your child.
Thank you for your cooperation and support. Together, we can create a healthy and safe environment for our students.
Area A
Students in Area A have been making fantastic progress and putting in tremendous effort across all areas of learning — and they’re having plenty of fun along the way!
Music lessons have been a highlight, with students exploring different instruments such as bells, shakers, and tapping sticks. Last week was especially exciting as everyone had the chance to play the drums, creating rhythms and enjoying the beat together.
In literacy, our "silly soup" session brings lots of laughter and learning as students whip up imaginative recipes using words that match the letter of the day. It is a playful way to build phonics skills and spark creativity!
In swimming lessons, students are not only building their confidence in the water but also developing important water safety and swimming skills. Area A continues to buzz with energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm — the fun and learning never stop in our vibrant classroom community!

Area C2
This week in C2 has been filled with fun and enjoyable learning adventures! We started our mornings by practising our gross motor skills during outdoor play. We listened to the story "Monsters Don’t Eat Broccoli" and then used paint and real broccoli to create our monster art. We had a fantastic time playing group games that helped us develop communication and turn-taking skills. During our cooking activity, we made sandwiches and celebrated Stephanie’s 9th birthday with delicious cupcakes. In Maths, we explored 2D and 3D shapes and hands-on number counting activities. Our science topic this week focused on movement. We walked around the school grounds to discover things that move, and the students made excellent observations.

Super Scientists in Area F!
Area F have been conducting various investigations this term related to Chemical Sciences. We have been looking at chemical reactions and have conducted two experiments associated with this topic. We have made predictions about whether certain mixtures will bubble over, and we have been drawing representations of the outcomes. Our students enjoyed mixing bi-carbonate soda, vinegar, and red food colouring together to represent a volcano eruption.
What Super Scientists we are in Area F! 😊

Area ILC
Area ILC have had a few birthdays in the last two weeks which means we now have teenagers in class. We have been working on trying new things such as food, sports and leisure activities. The boys have learnt to skateboard, ride a scooter, shoot some hoops and play games on the Wii. Next up, a trip to the skate park!
